Because of the integration, new business owners can, among other things, now register their business and have immediate access to a full array of business and filing services on their CT.gov account dashboard.
Gov. Ned Lamont and Secretary of the State Denise Merrill announced Tuesday that the state’s business registration system is now fully integrated with the state’s business portal making it easier for businesses to interact with state government.
The state’s integration with BusinessCT.gov - the state’s business portal - is essential and is another advancement toward making state government more digital, officials said.
“This update is another incredible milestone in Connecticut’s modernization efforts to move toward an all-digital state government experience,” Lamont said in a statement. “Every business owner is required to register through the Secretary of the State, and this integration will take away one more burdensome extra step or login that they need to undertake to grow their business.”
The state’s business portal went live in the summer of 2020 and the new integration means that business owners can log into fewer places in order to do business with the state.
